Owned and operated by Pure Majesty Pets, maker of a melatonin supplement for dogs reviewed on this site. How we handle this conflict of interest

Review Methodology

Published July 13, 2026 · Reviewed July 13, 2026 · By Best Melatonin for Dogs Editorial Team

Our product reviews and comparisons follow a fixed method so they can be checked and repeated. Here is exactly what we do.

1. We read the current label

We record each product’s active ingredients, amounts, and serving unit from the manufacturer’s own label or sell sheet, with the date reviewed. We never compare a per-chew amount to a per-mL amount as if they were equivalent.

2. We separate disclosure from effect

A product that discloses exact amounts is more transparent than one that hides ingredients inside a proprietary blend. Transparency is a real, objective advantage — but it is not the same as being more effective. We label these separately.

3. We check the evidence per ingredient

We map each active to what the peer-reviewed veterinary literature actually shows, and we grade it strong, moderate, or limited/traditional. See our ingredient evidence review.

4. We give credit and state limits

We name competitor advantages, including where a competitor has product-specific study material that Pure Majesty does not. We state plainly that no finished-formula canine trial exists for the Pure Majesty blend.

5. We date and re-verify

Labels reviewed on a given date are marked as such and re-checked on update. If a current label cannot be verified, we say so rather than guess.
